SYRACUSE, N.Y. — End September the right way with a week’s worth of great shows. From the Russian Grand Ballet to Mike Gordon of Phish, music heads have plenty to look forward to in Central New York this week.

6. John Waite

As a solo artist and lead singer of the Babys and Bad English, John Waite brought a handful of rock staples to the radio during the ’70s and ’80s, like “Missing You,” “Isn’t It Time” and “When I See You Smile.” Waite comes to Auburn as part of his 40th-anniversary tour. Jason Sinay opens the show.
