Traveled bluesman Livingston Taylor will return to Auburn Public Theater Saturday, Feb. 3.

The brother of James Taylor, Livingston has been playing guitar since he was 13. He has penned several top 40 hits for his brother, including “I’ll Come Running” and “Boatman,” while performing more than 80 shows a year himself. Livingston is also a professor at Berklee College of Music.

Speaking to The Citizen in 2015, Auburn Public Theater Executive Director Carey Eidel and Artistic Director Angela Daddabbo said they tried to book James Taylor at their downtown theater shortly after it opened in 2005. Their contact, however, said Livingston was a better showman and recommended that they book him instead.
