Auburn Public Theater will welcome three prolific singer-songwriters for performances over the next week.

At 8 p.m. Friday, May 10, Steve Forbert will take the stage at Auburn Public Theater. He comes in support of his September 2018 memoir, “Big City Cat: My Life in Folk Rock,” as well as his 19th studio album, “The Magic Tree.” Forbert’s hits include “Romeo’s Tune,” which reached No. 11 on the Billboard U.S. Hot 100, and his songs have also been recorded by Keith Urban, Rosanne Cash and more. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.

Last, at 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, Juno Award-winning songwriter Ruth Moody and her band will come to downtown Auburn. A founding member of The Wailin’ Jennys, Moody has also appeared several times on “A Prairie Home Companion.” In 2010 she released her first solo album, “The Garden,” and followed that up in 2013 with “These Wilder Things.” Tickets are $22 in advance and $27 at the door.
