Acclaimed folk artist Richard Shindell will support “Careless,” his first release of original material in seven years, with a concert at Auburn Public Theater Friday, Nov. 18.

Shindell’s often first-person folk songs have earned him the accolades “A master of subtle narrative” from The Wall Street Journal and “He’s one of our great songwriters. One of our great writers. Period.” from Slate.

Recorded in upstate New York and Buenos Aires, where the New Jersey-born Shindell now lives, “Careless” is the result of three years of work in the studio.
