Carey Eidel earned his Screen Actors Guild card for his performance as a Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dweller (or “C.H.U.D.”) in the 1984 cult horror film known as — you guessed it — “C.H.U.D.”

Eidel, who now lives in Central New York, started his career in New York City, where “C.H.U.D.” was shot, after studying at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre. One night, after a comedy set at Catch a Rising Star, Eidel was approached by a casting director who had been scouting talent for “C.H.U.D.”
