The NY State Premiere of:

By Yetta Young

“A play every woman SHOULD read and every Black woman MUST read.”

Butterfly Confessions, a stage-play, is a love letter to women of color that reveals heartfelt emotions about intimacy, sexual responsibility and overcoming adversity. The play blends humor and heartbreak with education, empowerment and inspiration while bringing awareness to domestic violence and HIV/AIDS. Butterfly Confessions was created and conceived by Yetta Young but was a collective effort with (12) contributors. This presentation of the work at Auburn Public Theater will be presented as a reading by the actors, similar to The Vagina Monologues.

The Tubman Troupe, founded in 2018, is a performing arts group for women of color to celebrate all of who they are through performance.
