AUBURN — The city of Auburn revealed the projects that will hopefully propel its application for a $10 million downtown revitalization grant to victory.

This is the third year the city has submitted an application to the state Downtown Revitalization Initiative competition, which awards $10 million to 10 municipalities throughout the state. The program was started in 2016 by Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

The city’s application, due to the state on June 1, includes 15 projects, some of which have been included in previous years’ DRI applications, Director of Capital Projects Christina Selvek said Thursday during the Auburn City Council meeting. The projects include:

• $300,000 to Auburn Public Theater to help with its expansion project, including building a cafe and additional performance space.
