AUBURN — Food, and how it can be prepared, is one way to show the diverse cultures that exist in the upstate and western New York area, said Hannah Davis.

To encapsulate that notion, the New York Folklore Society hosted a panel discussion Sunday called “You Are What You Eat: Ethnic Food Traditions in the Finger Lakes” at Auburn Public Theater featuring three individuals from the region with varying ethnicities and backgrounds in food.
