With music, comedy, film and theater over four consecutive days, Auburn Public Theater has a full plate of arts and entertainment options this weekend:
• At 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, a Women in Jazz concert will feature Jane Monheit and opener the MG3 Trio led by Melissa Gardiner. Monheit will be joined by Rick Montalbano on piano, Peter Mack on bass, John Rhode on tenor sax and Jimmy Johns on drums. Her new album, “The Songbook Sessions: Ella Fitzgerald,” pays tribute to the legendary jazz singer.
• At 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, comedian Rocky LaPorte will come to the theater with opener Todd Youngman. LaPorte has opened for Garry Shandling, Drew Carey, Tim Allen and more, and appeared in season eight of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing.”
