Auburn Public Theater will host a trio of diverse concerts over the next week:

• At 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, John Waite, the English rocker whose hits include “Missing You” and “When I See You Smile,” will return to the downtown theater. He previously performed there in September 2017 as part of his 40th anniversary tour.

• At 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, regional reggae favorites Root Shock will bring their blend of the genre, which includes heavy drum-and-bass, American roots and soul, to the theater. The band is supporting a five-song EP it released this year, “Many Paths,” and consists of Jessica Brown (vocals and melodica), Bill Eppel (bass), Phil Grajko (guitar and vocals), Jason “Jocko” Randall (guitar, percussion, electronics and vocals), Brian Lauri (keyboards) and Tyre Outerbridge (drums and vocals).
