The first meeting of Auburn’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative planning committee will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Auburn Public Theater.

Representatives from the city of Auburn, state Department of state and Bergmann Associates, the firm the state hired to assist the city with DRI planning, will speak at the meeting, which is being held to “kickoff Auburn’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative planning process,” according to a press release from the city.

During the meeting, the members of the local planning committee will be introduced to the public and the roles and responsibilities of all the key players will be discussed. The committee will give an overview of the DRI process, including the scope of work and timeline.
