Cayuga County-area organizations such as the nonprofit ARC of Seneca/Cayuga and the not-for-profit Perform 4 Purpose group were among the groups and artists awarded funding from the Finger Lakes Community Arts Grants, according to a press release.

The grants were given out Monday at a luncheon in Auburn. A total of 29 winners from Cayuga, Ontario, Seneca, Wayne and Yates counties will get $89,040 total for arts and cultural programs happening in 2019.

The grants program, an Auburn Public Theater organization, worked with the New York State Council on the Arts’ decentralization program to issue the grants. This was the seventh year the program has given out grants.
