Aclaimed author & speaker Andrew Harvey lectures on The Divine Feminine and Rumi Renaissance Wednesday and Thursday afternoon.

Mr. Harvey is joined on Thursday night by musician Hans Christian for a musical/spoken word event, Rumi Symphony

A glowing, magical, passionate and profoundly inspiring journey into the heart of the world’s greatest mystic’s experience of divine love. It is a collaboration between Andrew Harvey, internationally acclaimed spiritual teacher, Rumi scholar and translator, and the world renowned musician and composer, Hans Christian.

ABOUT ANDREW HARVEY - An internationally acclaimed poet, novelist, translator, mystical scholar, and spiritual teacher. Harvey has published over 20 books including The Hope a Guide to Sacred Activism (Hay House) and Heart Yoga the Sacred Marriage of Yoga and Mysticism (North Atlantic Books). Harvey is a Fellow of All Souls College Oxford from (1972-1986) and has taught at Oxford University, Cornell University, The California Institute of Integral Studies, and the University of Creation Spirituality, as well as, various spiritual centers throughout the United States. He was the subject of the 1993 BBC film documentary The Making of a Modern Mystic. He is the Founder of the Institute for Sacred Activism in Oak Park, Illinois, where he lives. ABOUT HANS CHRISTIAN - has played cello for 40 years and has been a professional musician since his arrival in Los Angeles from Germany in 1982. His career spans many projects in the genres of rock, pop, electronica and devotional music. He has appeared live, on TV, or on recordings with luminaries, including Robbie Robertson, Gene Clarke, Billy Idol, Sparks, Toni Childs, John Waite, Victoria Williams, Krishna Das, Dave Stringer, Harry Manx, and many others. His work as a producer, composer and recording engineer has yielded a track record of at least 100 CDs to date. Hans is a co-founder of the mystical world music group RASA, whose music (together with singer Kim Waters) has found a global audience with its deeply devotional sound. RASA has released six CDs on Hearts Of Space and New Earth Records. Recent projects include a film score for the full length documentary Call Of Life, several productions with various Sikh artists for Spirit Voyage Records, and a national tour with Song Of The Soul (featuring Tina Malia and GuruGanesha). Hans is also an adjunct faculty member of Wisdom University and has participated in the university’s annual New Chartres School program in Chartres, France since 2008.
