Angela Daddabbo, APT’s own Artistic Director, has been appointed to Cayuga Community College’s Board of Trustees! The APT Family is so proud of Angela for this accomplishment and for her constant dedication to improve the lives of those living in Auburn and Cayuga County. Read below Cayuga Community College’s statement about Angela’s appointment as well as the new Student Trustee, Duanna Johnson:

Cayuga Community College has announced the appointment of two new members to its Board of Trustees. On Wednesday, July 20, 2016, Angela Daddabbo and Duanna Johnson joined the 10 member Board of Trustees effective immediately.

“I am pleased to welcome these leaders to our Board of Trustees,” said Dr. Brian M. Durant, Cayuga Community College President. “They join a passionate and engaged group that is dedicated to helping students achieve their personal and professional goals and I look forward to working with each of them.”

Gubernatorial appointee Angela Daddabbo has replaced Jane Bowen, who has served on the Board of Trustees from 2006 until this June. Ms. Daddabbo is Artistic Director of Auburn Public Theater (APT). Prior to joining APT, she was owner/partner of Daddabbo’s Pizza in Auburn. She has been involved in the Auburn community on various boards since 2005, including Montessori School of the Finger Lakes and the Auburn Education Foundation.

Ms. Daddabbo graduated from Wellesley College. She resides in Auburn and has two children, Gianna and Heschel.

Elected by Cayuga Community College students in May, Student Trustee Duanna Johnson replaces Molly Sharples, who graduated and moves on to SUNY New Paltz. Ms. Johnson is pursuing an associate’s degree in Mathematics and Sciences and hopes to transfer to Syracuse University to study endocrinology after graduation from Cayuga Community College.

Ms. Johnson lives in Auburn.
